ANTI-COUNTERFEIT INVESTIGATION & PROGRAMS
Nationwide Research Group has recently updated its BrandWatch program. This service now offers an Australiawide program to attack the problem of counterfeiting on several fronts to minimise the opportunity for those manufacturing, importing, distributing and selling these offending products without legal retribution occurring. Counterfeiting is one of today's most expensive problems facing brand owners. Businesses rely on the good name and quality of their product to meet the expectation of the community whom often purchase goods solely dependent upon the historical reputation of the brand.
Most companies realise that a poor quality product can adversely affect their good name not only in immediate sales but also the trust of the purchasing public. Having invested quite substantial amounts in research and development, advertising and marketing their products, we are now seeing an epidemic of cheap 'look-a-like' products that seek to cash in on a brand owners good name and established reputation.
Since the 1980s, Nationwide Research Group has specialised in Intellectual Property and Anti-Counterfeit Research and has built strong relationships with the majority of leading Intellectual Property practices around Australia, on behalf of brand-owners worldwide.
We are regularly instructed, either directly or through the company's legal advisers, to conduct research for many prestigious international brands, ranging from haute couture, fashion, lifestyle, media & entertainment, automotive, sporting and consumer brands.
